Finding Opportunity in a Tough Market

Opportunity is out there. This year, we’ve all seen agents leave the market. Less competition means more opportunities for you! You just have to be ready to go out and find them. Step number one is going to be lighting that fire to get things done. Jimmy’s advice? Look back at your most successful year. What were you doing? Who did you surround yourself with? Take some of the momentum you had in years past and inject it into this year – start doing the things you did when you were most successful!

 

Surround Yourself with the Right People

A big takeaway from our conversation was Jimmy’s reminder that "who you surround yourself with matters." We all have someone in our contact list who makes us feel energized after talking, whether it’s a friend, family member, or mentor. Call them up, check in, and avoid those folks who just want to talk about how bad everything is all the time! Jimmy also introduced us to his acronym "GAME"—Great Associations, Mentors, and Environment. If you’ve got GAME, you’ve got what it takes to be successful.

 

Content Creation for Real Estate Agents: What to Consume and Create

We’ve talked a lot about content creation on this podcast, but it’s great to hear Jimmy’s perspective as another successful podcaster. He’s been in the game for years, and the secrets to his success are his energy and consistency. He recommends getting into video – it shows your potential clients who you are and can position you as an expert in your area. We recommend limiting doomscrolling – hey, we’re all guilty of it, but once you shift your mindset from content consumer to creator, there’s no turning back.
